Family of TV Stars...kind of

Having a job in the commercial department of a television station, it was bound to happen that someone in our family would eventually be on TV. When I was in my first commercial, it was a last minute, on the spot, crap we need someone to act like a customer in this commercial, thing.

Every time the commercial came on, I'd cringe.

Then I was asked to put together a promo for a wedding planning service that we were offering on the station's website and I thought it would be cool to put in some video from our wedding. That was 9 years ago, and we're still hearing about it and the commercial isn't even airing anymore.

My grandfather's been in a commercial...

My uncle Tommy has been in a commercial...

And I'm sure you know by now Darric's been in a commercial...

Shortly after Jordan was born, we were doing a commercial for a funeral home and we wanted to show hands from different stages of life. He was born a hand model.

Then a couple years ago I was asked if Jordan could be in a commercial for a locally owned greenhouse, another last minute thing...but it actually turned out great!

Then last year I was asked again and I'm starting to wonder if this kid has a knack for something...

Although, it wasn't as easy as it looked. Kids will only do what is asked of them for so long. I've video taped and produced many Christmas card shoots with my kids that they're use to me pushing and pushing.

Here's some bloopers from that last commercial shoot...
Hopefully Jordan won't be too mad at me when he's older with all the commercials I've put him in....so far.
